Test the conditions your users actually have
Nigeria is not one device, bandwidth profile, business size, payment method, or support model. Capture representative evidence from the intended users and design the system around essential tasks rather than broad national assumptions.
Prepare the project brief- Currency
- NGN where applicable
- Telephone
- +234 and approved local fixtures
- Network target
- Client-specific, tested
Define the user envelope
List the roles, locations, devices, operating systems, browsers, screen sizes, connection conditions, shared-device concerns, and essential tasks. Measure the critical routes under representative scenarios and keep core information and actions independent of heavy media or fragile third-party scripts.
- Mobile essential-path test
- Keyboard and readable contrast
- Small initial payload
- Visible save and retry behavior
Model formats without collecting live identities
Use approved fictional NGN amounts, names, addresses, states, telephone numbers, Tax ID structures, invoice examples, and provider test values only when the workflow needs them. Never use a real person's NIN, BVN, bank credential, or production record as convenient test data.
- Fictional fixtures
- Field-level necessity
- Formatting and validation
- Redacted logs and screenshots
Plan power, provider, and support fallback from evidence
If the client identifies interruption risk, decide how users save work, resume, export, reconcile, or contact support. Record hosting, email, identity, payment, analytics, and messaging account owners, current availability, renewal, support, data paths, and an exit route.
- Draft and resume
- Provider outage procedure
- Offline-readable instructions
- Named support and escalation owner
