Prepare an address-review task instead of guessing the correction

A Nigerian organisation revisiting old customer records may find numeric-only postcode fields alongside newer alphanumeric references. An assisted workflow can help identify records that need a person's attention without deciding that every unusual value is wrong.

We can build a bounded validation report, review summary or routing step around approved rules. The useful result is an operator seeing the original value, the relevant request and the reason a record needs checking.

Use the right reference for the rule

NIPOST's current public service describes an alphanumeric building reference. That is a reason to review an old field assumption, not permission to invent a code or send customer locations to an unapproved external service. Any lookup uses the actual provider arrangement and an agreed information-handling process.

Leave uncertain cases with a person

Test a customer with a newly supplied reference, an older written address and a record that belongs to a different visit. If AI prepares a summary, the operator must see the source and be able to reject the suggestion. The workflow should preserve the original record until an authorised change is made.

We include the pause and correction route. A controlled trial assesses whether the report creates useful work for the responsible team. It does not justify an unmeasured saving or an automatic claim that the address has been verified.
